Indian Market 2017 was amazing. I somehow found myself in the best position to observe and enjoy the diverse cultures within the Native American population. A highlight was jewelry shopping with the legendary actress, Ally McGraw from movies such as “Love Story” and “The Getaway” with Steve McQueen. The latter was filmed at the prison in my hometown, Huntsville, Texas.

Honoring The CHAMP!
Today I awoke to the news that a legend, Muhammad Ali, had died at the age of 74. To me his legacy is one of strength and conviction. I was also fortunate to be in Atlanta in 1996 when Muhammad Ali surprised the world and lit the Olympic torch to start the summer games. I thank him for reminding us of the power in each of us to make a difference in the world.

New York Fashion Week and My Birthday!
On Wednesday, we arrived in New York, another town where I have lived and miss more than I can say. As part of my birthday week, some friends decided to help me take my town back. My birthday is 9/11 and I have not visited New York on my birthday since the day became something else here. Since Fashion Week falls during my birthday celebration, the timing just seemed right.
At An American in Paris on Broadway. Simply awesome!!
We Are the Divas of This Ball
The Military Ball weekend and I decided to share it with my 12 year old God Daughter, Jakari! She may not want to be a marketing professional, but the point is she will know what that looks like. ‪#‎takemygoddaughtertoworkday‬ ‪#‎specialmoments‬
Her statement to me: “We are the divas of this ball.” LOL!!
