Introducing ZUVAA Fashions
I love this African label. ZUVAA, a new community for African Fashion – Founded in 2013 by US-based entrepreneur Kelechi Anyadiegwu, ZUVAA is a new online store that showcases African inspired fashion from all over the world. Zuvaa comes from the Shona language of Zimbabwe and means ‘sunshine.’ ‘Zuvaa’ represents the vibrant and positive spirit of the continent of Africa and how you let your personal light shine.

Presenting New Designer – Michael Shumaker’s “Luxivity” Collection
Hey fashion lovers! Here’s a brand new fashion designer for you and he has got some great designs for the ladies.
According to the brand on their “Luxivity” collection – “luxivity is centered around different emotional moments a young woman goes through in her life. Moments phased around her sadness, happiness and feminity. The collection is a juxtaposition of the female life cycle capturing every moment ; either big or small.”
The pieces from the collection are filled with mild construction, with hints of glamour, elegance and sensuality that enhance the female body. Check it out.

Catherine Malandrino Spring Summer 2014 Collection
Catherine Malandrino’s Spring Summer 2014 Collection showed a clear nautical theme. Inspired by Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the red, white, and blue coloring, sailboat and ocean motifs, and stripes all gave a literal representation of this.
Crisp, voluminous bottoms and triangular shaped skirts provided a more subtle nautical tone, resembling to some degree a mast of a sailboat. Whether land or sea, there are some key pieces in this collection we’d be excited to wear just about anywhere!

Elie Saab Fall 2014 RTW Collection
Elie Saab’s Fall collection was an absolute thing of jewel toned beauty. Burgundy, teal, dark moody florals, black lace, sequins, and the most sophisticated shade of mauve blended seamlessly together in a parade of deeply cut pleated maxis, smartly tailored trousers, and extravagant furs.
Dégradé colors shifts popped against the otherwise completely color-blocked collection. Enjoy!!

Balmain Fall 2014 RTW Collection
I am crazy for this designer and this is my second time to post about Balmain!! The collection that is Balmain Fall 2014, revived the long admired military trend, with a new take only Olivier Rousting could master. Olive greens, canary yellows, and even a dash of leopard were all present. Balmain’s signature silhouettes came out to play, (structured shoulders and pegged pants) but didn’t feel redundant.
Especially exciting were the ornately macramed dresses using lengths of twined roping as a textile. #fashionfriendsof TenaciousM Enjoy!
