Eloisa’s Restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Standard

For a work assignment, I visited Santa Fe, New Mexico to prepare for a sponsorship with the Indian Market. An amazing find was Eloisa’s, a new restaurant at the Drury Hotel. From the roof top bar overlooking the great panoramic that is Santa Fe, to the excellent meal which was art on a plate. If you are ever in the area, be sure to stop by!

Missing The Urban Vibe!

Standard

This is the second time in a few weeks that work has brought me to Washington, D.C. It’s been a few years since I lived in an urban community and I love the chance to revisit whenever I can. It’s great how you bump into amazing experiences, people, art and opportunities walking through the city rather than driving, and today was no different.

Just a Day in Washington, D.C.

Standard

I have visited Washigton, D.C. several times and even in subarctic temperatures it can be a fascinating town. But, I truly prefer a leisurely late Spring day anytime.

Weekend in Chicago

Standard

I visited Chicago this past weekend to see friends from the time when I lived there and beyond. Specifically, my friend Carmelia Wrenn-Martin. I wanted to support her entrepreneur efforts at opening “Epiphany” Restaurant in Lincoln Park (734 W. Fullerton). The food is Cajun-inspired comfort food and absolutely delicious. Also, the location is actually great with adequate street parking for the area. Stop by and enjoy!! I did, and took my TenaciousM Posse with me.

48 Hours in Corpus Christi, Texas

Standard

It’s amazing that you can literally feel like you’re in another country just traveling a couple hundred miles in my home state of Texas. I spent the last few days in Corpus Christi. I haven’t been here in 20 years. Shame on me. It’s a coastal paradise.

Santa Fe, New Mexico “The Sequel”

Standard

My trip to Santa Fe last month was great, but this time around, I’m getting to know even more gems around the city. My friend and co-worker, Bridgette, is from here, so she is the perfect guide for great shopping and food.

Visiting Española, New Mexico

Standard

The weather is perfect and unseasonably warm for northern New Mexico in late January. While in Española, a friend took me to visit the little church called Santaurio de Chimayo. It’s a little off the beaten path and a special peace resides there.

The Road to Los Alamos, New Mexico

Standard

Here’s a lovely route and a trip worth taking. These are scenes from my drive from Santa Fe to Los Alamos via HWY 502 West. There were actually a couple of well positioned photo op areas. Enjoy!
