New and improved “The Rancher in Stilettos” signature cocktail! Now featuring Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey.

As an homage to the first African American distiller, our signature cocktail, “The Rancher in Stilettos”, is new and improved featuring Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey! Uncle Nearest 1884 is the proud legacy of the Godfather of Tennessee Whiskey, Nearest Green. Each small batch comes from barrels chosen by our founders and each blend is curated by 5th generation Green descendant, Master Blender, Victoria Eady Butler. Victoria’s signature can be found on the back of every bottle of Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch Whiskey.

Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is inspired by the best whiskey-maker the world never knew, the first African-American master distiller on record in the United States, Nearest Green. The Uncle Nearest brand, wholly owned by Uncle Nearest, Inc., encompasses a premium aged whiskey, an 11-year-old single barrel product, and a 7-year-old small batch offering, all distilled, aged, bottled and hand-labeled in Tennessee.

The story starts with Jack Daniel’s. Founded in the 1875, Jack Daniel’s has become the top selling American Whiskey in the world. And while many of us might think of their staple product as mass-produced low proof whiskey, the truth is there is quite a bit of history behind the brand. That history, which was not well understood or well known until recently but was also not necessarily a secret, involved another man. Nearest Green (legal name Nathan Green), but no one including his family and friends, ever called him by his legal name; his name has been misspelled by some as “Nearis” was, it turns out, a black slave who taught Jack Daniel how to distill.

Now you can enjoy the cocktail along with some history!
